Overcoming iconographic and metaphorical structures of the classical representation of blindness. This is the purpose of a research on the complex concept of blindness and the figure of blind, which typically are associated to supernatural powers such as the prediction of future. From the blind we actually learn to move forwards, to feel, to orientate. The challenge of the painting is to reflect on the moments of proprioception and self-consciousness through the construction process of image and sense. Images that may seem abstract or distant form each other, map the dimension of blindness as a concept with multiple nuances in relation to an introspective world. Inspired by an in-depth conceptual investigation, the research on the concept of blindness and its possible imagery offers an alternative way to study and rediscover the body through a different lens. Through an analytical reconstruction of the behavior of blind bodies, and by means of drawing and collage, the figures in the paintings are deconstructed into feelings, movement, and falling.
