Inspired by a fascination with animal flight and a study of wingbeat mechanics, VISITOR is an animation created with oil painting. The fly, the protagonist of the animation, becomes a metaphor for the human desire to fly and the shift in perspective it entails. The insect visitsthe Earth and human homes but is overwhelmed by chaos and violence, eventually losing control and orientation. The work unfolds a dystopian and uncertain sequence of images and sounds, referencing the chaotic nature of human dwelling and its existential conflict on Earth and within the Universe.
