Il sogno dell'infinità

Apparitions. The Dream of Infinity is a group exhibition that explores the relationship between the visible and the invisible, between the finite and the infinite, through the language of contemporary art. In a dialogue engaging philosophy and poetry, the exhibition reflects on the concept of apparition. But “what does apparition require?” According to the philosopher and art historian Georges Didi-Huberman, apparition “requires an opening — unique and momentary — an opening that bears witness to apparition as such. And here a paradox emerges, because the apparent, at the very moment it opens itself to the visible world, devotes itself to a kind of dissimulation” (“Glimpses. Between Appearance and Disappearance” –  Bollati Boringhieri, 2011).
