Olga Lepri. Risvegli

a cura di Valeria Cirone

Risvegli (Awakening), Olga Lepri’s first solo exhibition, curated by Valeria Cirone, revolves around the theme of dreams and stems from the need to explore one of the many nuances of not seeing. Through the works on display, the artist invites the public to immerse themselves in a dreamlike world, rich in symbols and suggestions. Lepri’s paintings are like windows onto inner worlds, visions of surreal and abstract landscapes that reveal themselves only beyond the boundaries of reality. The theme of awakening is addressed in all its facets: from lucid dreaming to the suspension of judgement, from the acceptance of the unknown to the search for meaning in the apparent chaos of images.

Through the use of vibrant colours, combined with the fluidity of forms, the artist invites us to explore the boundaries of our minds and let ourselves be carried away on a sensory and spiritual journey. Risvegli is an exhibition that challenges our senses and pushes us to question the very nature of reality. The exhibition leads visitors to reflect on their ability to discern between reality and imagination, between what is authentic and what is illusory in their dreamlike experience. Olga Lepri’s works represent the boundary between the tangible and intangible worlds, between the materiality of the body and the richness of the soul. At this threshold, dreams become a space of transition, where desires, fears, reflections and intuitions intermingle. Visitors are invited to explore this inner territory, to immerse themselves in the depths of the unconscious and to confront their own hidden truths.

The exhibition is an invitation to explore the dimensions of one’s own existence, the visible and the invisible, the real and the imaginary. A journey into the land of dreams, which will only be accomplished if the visitor allows themselves to be carried away by the magic of the liminal landscape between dream and reality. The viewer is invited to contemplate the liminal landscape between the physical body and its inner nature. Olga Lepri’s solo exhibition aims to stimulate critical and creative reflection in visitors, encouraging them to explore the multiple dimensions of their consciousness and to question their certainties about the nature of reality. Through the exploration of imaginary and fantastical worlds, the public is invited to reconsider their perceptions of the world and discover new perspectives on their own existence. It is an invitation to embrace the complexity and multifaceted nature of one’s dreamlike experience, encouraging visitors to explore the infinite possibilities of the human mind and reconcile contradictions.
